Derek Acorah RIP

Aged 69. 

I have a passing interest in Derek as my niece worked for him for a while ( she left the heady show biz heights of making coffee for Derek to become a teacher). To me he had an odd career, sort of fake it until you make it although never really actually  made it as he got sacked from his own show for obvious fakery. 

Anyway, brief illness, intensive care and RIP.

I’m sure his fans will continue to communicate with him.

I don’t wish ill on anyone but I’m not going mourn the passing of a con-man, especially one who made a living from taking advantage of people’s grief at the loss of their loved ones.

that line of work in general is a total con as far as I am concerned, but sad for his friends and family to lose him. Not that old by modern standards. Never seen any of his stuff!

We named our Apple cutting utensil Derek after him.

But sad news for his family and nearest/dearest

It's a shame for his loved ones but the man was either mentally ill or a shockingly distasteful con-man. Or both. I remember him claiming that Madeline Mcann had been communicating with him, the fucking maggot.
