Four weddings and a funeral.......damn I cannot abide Hugh grant
It took me until the Jeremy Thorpe thing to realise that he is a very good actor who has been unfortunately typecast for most of his career. There was a documentary about him recently where it sounded like he stumbled into acting and didn't realise he was good at it, so allowed himself to be given the same roles over and over until no-one, including himself, could abide it...
Hugh Grant told this to a friend of mine (they are former school classmates). On meeting strangers, his mum used to tell folk that she had two kids - an actor and a banker, to which the standard response was "Oh, which bank?"

No clue. I rarely watch TV. I do occasionally look at Netflix stuff or maybe iPlayer, but I'm not into scheduled TV at all. A dinosaur concept.

That has worked equally well for De Niro, Pacino and Pesci, to be fair.
That's exactly why I can't be bothered with The Irishman... yawn.
Apparently Pesci plays a different kind of role in that, but I agree with you, The Irishman doesn't interest me.  I think Scorsese still does a lot of great work but I can't stand De Niro or Pacino.

Beat me to it. I've seen various bits of the films when they're on ITV but never have a clue what's going on in them.

    Love Actually.

I ‘actually’ quite liked it when I first saw it - despite being crap it had a sort of cheesy 90s charm about it - but with each repetition it lost that and is now just nauseating.
    Certainly not crap
Best film I have ever seen - watched it al least 7 times ...fantastic casting, writing, plot, acting and irony .Makes me laugh and cry.
This and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels are my 2 favourite films of all time

It does have those qualities. But it also has one fatal flaw....Emma Thompson. Not even Keira Knightly, Claudia Schiffer, and the American girls can make up for that.

I think the channel is called London Live, it's Sky 117.

I think they have the rights to about three films, which they show at least once a week, and then again at weekends.

One of ITV2, 3 or 4 shows the same Wesley Snipes film over and over. Okay, it may have a different name but it's the same fucking film.

They show weird old 1970s British "adult" movies sometimes.

It's a very odd channel.  When it first started the picture quality was awful, like they were playing VHS tapes, even for current events programmes.

The Mummy seems to be on constantly on one channel or another, I can’t bloody stand the films.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

They show one about Mary Millington (David Sullivan’s porn star girlfriend) that’s on at least every fortnight.

I think they've probably shown Come Play With Me and The Playbirds, although I couldn't swear to it.
