I came across this

Budget Fano designs for between $849 to $999

Not sure where they built, I presume far east maybe Korea, maybe the same factory as the Rivolta's/Eastwood guitars?

Poly finish will cut costs. I bought an SP6 end of last year and it is a great guitar, a Fender meets Gibson with best of both worlds.

Damn right. I have an SP6 standard bought from this very parish and it's going nowhere except with me to gigs. Best. Ever. Innit.

I suppose the big question is whether they'll actually feel and sound similar to the US models, or will the resemblance be mainly cosmetic...

I'm with you. I'd give my right arm for an rb6 thinline. Other than that I'm not very excited.

  • I’m very interested in these, would love an SP6. Hopefully a UK store will have some in stock to check them out in the flesh

  • They look OK but I dunno what it is, something just seems a bit lacking in the looks side of things to me, at least compared to the US models. Can't put my finger on what. Based purely just on the looks I think I'm more tempted by the looks of the new Fano sub-brand guitars, the Rivoltas.

Haven't really looked into the specs of either brand's new offerings, that's just based purely on gut reaction to the pics.

Could be nice or could be £1000 piece of Chinese Fano shaped tat - who knows until one is picked up.

The specs look spot on to me. Although I o prefer 6105 to med jumbo frets.
