Different. Depends what you want to lose vs the full fat Helix / LT.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

  • Not sure if it sits far enough below the LT in price point tbh

    Street Price US is $449.

I'd be amazed if this is less than £400.

    Something like:

    - Helix is the one that you buy if you need everything / money no object
    - Helix LT is the one that you buy if you want lots of features but don't want to spend as much
    - POD Go is the one that you put in your backpack and which should cover all bases, if you don't need the flexibility and all the features that Helix offers. Like an updated Firehawk FX.
    - HX stomp is the one that you put on a board with other, external pedals
    - HX FX is the one that you want if you are still using a traditional amp

You can't say they aren't offering choice!

Yep, I'm #4 on that list. I don't want a 100% board replacement, I want a small multi-fx that can basically be a really full featured delay pedal and also sometime headphone amp and amp modeller

  • So I have a HX Stomp Which I by know means regret buying but I feel a bit cheated by this Devices price point and Features.
I mean This has everything the Stomp has plus its cheaper.

It doesn’t have the footprint, midi or XLR outputs to start with....

I mean the POD GO must be four times the size at least

I imagine the Go is very linear in its signal path, no dual FX or stereo routing or (assume but haven't checked) loops in the chain. I was annoyed when I bought the HXFX shortly before the Stomp arrived but that offered something more, this offers less than the best points of the Stomp
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

If you read the FAQ, there's only one signal path and usage-specific blocks (eg amp, cab, wah, 4 x effects).

It's not cheaper than the Stomp and I'd hold your fire. The 'press release' says:

If you don’t need all the editing and routing of a full-on Helix environment but like the sounds, this proposition may be pretty enticing for you.

It has it's own dedicated PC editing app which I think indicates it doesn't have all the functionality of the Helix app or Native. I'm guessing part of the appeal is creating something that is as easy to use as an old POD, but it won't have the flexibility of the full blown Stomp or Helix to keep editing easy.

It does look as if Line 6 went to Fisher Price to get the thing designed .. :-)

Good video dude! Nice playing too.

So is this using the Helix stuff or more the other stuff like a variation of Pod Farms ?

    It is Helix tech.
