  • The biggest problem with this stuff is WHEN? We are still waiting for delivery of a Squier 50s P bass in blonde announced at NAMM last year... I like the thin line cabronita though

The release date on the American spoiler was  June.

I hope they've decided to sparkle them up a bit by then  :)

So these weren't at NAMM after all. Very odd.

There’s a thread on the offset forum with screenshots of a load of them.

    It’s a cyclone II.
I had one of the original Fender cyclones and you couldn’t intonate it. Common issue as they placed the bridge too far forward and the stock bridge didn’t have enough travel to correct it.  They were 24.75” scale.
Hope they have fixed it with these.

  • So they now make a baritone Cabronita but not a regular scale/tuning one?

    Nice one Squier.
Isn't that a regular thinline one on the same page?

It's a thinline Tele-shaped guitar with Jazzmaster pickups. The Cabronita was a solidbody Tele shaped guitar with Filtertrons.

Calling the new one a Cabronita as well is all very well, but it doesn't make it the same thing any more than calling Mrs_bob Margot Robbie.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

I like the Jele and the one with the bridge humbucker at an angle.

Always fancied an offset Tele, and I'm also gutted they haven't made a 'proper' Cabronita because the Fidelitrons are the main appeal to the guitar. Seems like a misstep.

Interested to try a Toronado because I always liked the look of those from old Fender catalogues.

  • Is it just me or is the offset tele body slightly narrower or smaller than a JM body?

The LPB Toronado looks almost as good as mine, although mine still wins easily because of the Mojo WRHBs  ;)

Was going to say, a Toronado with big ol' WRHBs must look ace. Any pics..?

The Fender publicity machine has done this before. Either their marketing depart is STILL incompetent or this "leak" is another tease to build up interest (and dealer pre-orders). You decide.

I don't have any decent ones. Here's a sort of action shot...

Ahh, I hadn't spotted about the pick ups in the original link.

Squier did make a regular Cabronita.

Discontinued now though so only second hand.

I still think a single pickup Squier Cabronita as per the original Custom Shop medal would kill
