Modern coronet?

Hi all,
I've got a 65 Epiphone coronet which I love, but I don't like gigging it because it's valuable and fragile so I've been looking for a more modern alternative but I've been struggling.
I'm after something very light and resonant, preferably double P90s, and a vintage style narrow nut width. 

Between £500 and £1000

Anyone got any ideas? I'm at a bit of a loss!

Melody Maker Special springs to mind.

I'm just building a coronet style guitar now, I'm going for the earlier version with thicker body and jack socket hole on the side, I'm making it out of very lightweight limba, it's having one dog ear p90, this will become a standard model of mine as I don't think there's much out there

Not too keen on the melody maker necks, always found them too wide and flat strangely? Yeah looking like I’m gonna have to go down the custom build route but doubt it’ll be in budget!

Epiphone did a reissue a few years back. Easy to upgrade.
