Edit: keeping the Ray34CA for now

If of interest to the OP, I’ve got a mint green Sterling Ray34CA (classic active) the one more like the pre Ernie Ball StingRays with a slab body and gloss tinted finish on the neck. Like the Ray4 It has a Jazz bass width nut. 

These were a higher spec than the SUB Ray4s and were priced way,way higher. Discontinued model now, superseded by the cheaper Ray24CA

I sold my RAY34CA roughly two years ago. Classic motorway services car park transaction. (Remember those?) Played nicely, sustained well. I just did not get on with the narrower string spacing at the nut.
