Not exactly ruined, but my Suhr Alt T would be a better guitar for regular frets instead of stainless steel - would suit it better.
That is interesting. I still miss the Alt T Pro I had and probably have one on the shopping list this year.
I liked the stainless frets and thought they were in keeping with the overall guitar.
There is a rattly slickness to the frets.  Easy to overshoot bends and slides.
I am thinking of Alder ond Rosewood this time.

My pal just bought a classical guitar and it has a fretboard inlay with the manufacturer's name....on the 13th fret.

Never liked the look of the jack socket on a Strat.
Wow, really? I've always thought it absolutely critical to the swoopy 50's design of them.

Mahogany necks with a one-piece angled headstock, no reinforcement, and an oversized truss rod access at the weakest point.

    Not kidding :).

Wal bass (4 string) headstock, looks like something you'd dig the garden with.

The 5 string version looks nice though.

I think the Charvel So-Cals with side mounted jack socket look much cleaner & nicer :)

    Look at this:

    Phwoarrr....I would, etc. etc. etc.

But then suddenly once the headstock is in view it becomes massively less appealing:

Actually it was the three-screw truss rod cover.  I know it's not very rational to be bothered by such a small thing, but I think they look terrible.

(And yes, I hate the headstock shape. ;) )

  • Every PRS, except the Silver Sky - because the pickup switch is in the least convenient place possible, actually making it impossible to play some of my band's stuff.
