Solo of the Month (SotM) #57 - Challenge

This is the 57th solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge

The challenge is now open ends at midnight 22nd February 2020.

Discussion: An attempt at a swing style track.

Title: Swinging.

Tempo: It belts along at 235 bpm, making it somewhat tricky (at least for me).

Chords: Just a 12 bar in C

The backing track has some headroom to add your solos. Add your solo and (as a guideline) try to avoid boosting the overall level beyond that if possible. That way the entries should be at roughly the same level and we won't get into loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.
First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point

The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

No prizes. It's just for fun.

As people submit their entries, I'll post them below to hopefully promote some discussion on approaches used for the solo:

Mine's in.  I'm a bit closer to the brief this time!

Not much to say on the technical front - a Gretsch (naturally!) 5129 model with single-coil Dynasonics, into a Helix - tape delay, Fender Twin, spring reverb.

No chance for me this month.. I'm not quick enough without resorting to my usual pentatonic cliche.

Great sounding entries so far, but I fear I'm about 30 years away from playing like that!

Unbelievable standard so far. I had another "attempt" but can't get close to the tempo without slowing the project down. Men against boys  

Edit: I can play at the tempo but it's all over the shop!

I mean, 235bpm is only 58bpm if you only play a quarter of the notes and call it 'space'.

It's ok for you.. you could do summat at 470bpm

That was way above my pay grade, but I managed to stuff in as many cliches as I could think of and finally cobbled summat together...Phew!

I use a bit of a trick to it. My picked notes are no faster than 1/8th notes. The faster stuff is mainly 3 notes per string triplets using hammer ons and pull offs, which is based on patterns I'm already familiar with. So I'm recycling familiar patterns that I've already got under my fingers.
Plus there was quite a bit of pre-planning of what I played.
