SOLD: Gibson ES335 Studio vintage burst, 2019 - pristine condition, £1250
What's Hot
Only had this a few months and it's barely been played, but is looking for a new home now as I've not bonded with it. Thought I wanted a 335, waited ages for this to become available and grabbed it when one finally did, but turns out semi hollows are not for me, after all.
(This is the one shown in the Peach unboxing video on YouTube towards the end of last year)
Spec highlights -
Rounded / thick profile neck (0.88-0.96 by my caliper measurements)
Pickups are 57 Classic and 57 Classic Plus
Body binding - 3 ply blk/white/blk.
Fingerboard is also bound (but sometimes doesn't notice in photos at first glance, as it's black binding).
Handwired Memphis Tone circuit with 500k pots & ceramic caps.
Frets are medium jumbo, 18% nickel silver.
Grover rotomatic tuners.
Serial number indicates June 19th 2019 date of manufacture.
I think at £1250 it's a bargain - it plays superbly and sounds fantastic.
(Anything that looks like a mark in the photos will be reflections from my filthy patio or fibres/specks of dust from the case etc)
Prefer collection from Bristol / South Gloucestershire area but can maybe meet somewhere mutually convenient.
Comments
I didn't realise they made these like this now. I think earlier versions had no body binding and only two knobs.
Now it looks a bit like the first (1958?) 335s, which also had no neck binding.
