    The Sweater Shop.

That was pretty short lived as far as I remember.

I went to meet Stephen Hendry at a signing in The Sweater Shop. He signed a massive poster in which he was wearing a really jazzy multicoloured sweater. Lost it when I moved house unfortunately.

As@scrumhalf said. That’s was in Delft, the large flagship store is in Amsterdam and there’s one in Cite Europe next to Eurotunnel. It has a Primark kinda vibe.

I also seem to remember Woolworths ( basically a supermarket) and Radio Rentals still in existence in Australia.

Does anyone remember Liptons? Sort of a Woolworths, had one in Merthyr.
Also Sound Center, had at least 3 I think, Cardiff Merthyr and Tredegar.

    Pratts (Streatham)
Pratts was still there when I moved to Streatham, but closed not long after - a real old fashioned department store!  Now it's a Lidl.
When I was at primary school it was how I spent  my Friday night, most weeks. Drive into Streatham to wander round Pratts. Not entirely sure why to be honest. My parents obviously liked it.

All I remember was that it was like a maze, and that we used to park down the road where Cynthia Payne had her brothel.

I haven’t been back to Streatham for ages. Had no idea it was a Lidl now.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

The Australian Woolworths was nothing to do with its UK namesake - I was confused by this for a good while when I lived there.  Doesn't help that they call it 'Woolies' either :)

    :)

Does Homebase count?  It's never been the same since Sainsbury's flogged it - the DIY store that was acceptable to the middle classes because it sold everything B&Q did, only at 50% markup.

I'd assumed it was related. Honestly, we went around a branch just to get a carrier bag.

    We have slightly sad holidays...
