Fantastic bit of kit if you've got an older or awkward FX/modeler.

I got one to use with an old Pod V2, as it doesn't have an aux in for jamming along with tracks.

    It's a great little gadget.
I'd been through the Atomic Amplifire and a couple of other lower end modelers but got rid after a while.

I had the Pod from new but always wanted to be able to use it with my mp3 player bit couldn't and it sat in a box for ages in the attic.

Now its all I use for silent practice with this thing.
It's probably not its primary function though, but the unit is solidly built and the batteries last ages.

Think it would be ok to put my guitar and pedalboard into it?

    Oooh, no idea!

You may still need something to act as an 'amp' sound.

I have used it with my FlyRig and it sounds great, but that's a kind of amp sim thingy.

Yeah that's effectively what the Vox is for, might just stick with that

Ive got the red one mate, I think that one's suited for guitars and stuff
The blue one looks like it's for box.

I bought mine about two months ago for £30 and I thought that was decent enough then.

I've bought another as a spare as it travels around with me in the guitar gig bag so has the potential to get knocked.

Oh and I meant the RED one is the one I've got.

The vox is alright, as long as you keep the volume, gain and tone levels in check it's not too bad. It's still not quite the same as going into a desk or amp - you still get some distortion if things get too crazy but it probably wasn't designed to have pedals before it. It's certainly a pretty good solution.

Can't remember which one I've got, probably the AC30 one designed mainly for cleans

Bonkers price! I can only assume there’s no demand for them because it’s a product most people don’t know exists and so don’t look for...

At that price I’m almost tempted to buy one just in case I ever have a use for it, but I never play through headphones, so it’s hard to justify even at a tenner.

  • Big shout out to their customer service team. I accidentally ordered the blue one without realising it was for Vocals and not guitar. Sent them an email and they replied in 5 minutes saying not to worry, they'll send the red one instead. Top stuff
Just so people are aware. I have no idea what any of these words mean.

Great news. I think the blue will still work for guitar if the red ones ran out.

Big shout out to their customer service team.

Their' courier seems pretty good as well, I ordered it at 5pm yesterday and it arrived in Cardiff at 12:30 today. I went for the blue one because I preferred the colour. I didn't realise there was a difference between them until I read the entire thread

@andy1839 thanks for posting, mate. I wanted a headphone amp/mixer type thing to play along to mp.3 backing tracks and these look like a real bargain.

    Cool!
I know this was their actual intended use, I'd be interested to know how it works out for you in a full jam.

    Nice one bud!
What are you using for your guitar sounds through it?

I keep trying to find a use for one of these. Can the headphone out be used for monitoring your Acoustic playing through headphones, and the "Link" output going into a PA? I've played a few outdoor tents that are Acoustic busking type things where something battery powered would have been very helpful in order to hear the acoustic guitar better for singing along
