I've never understood the 'drummers are dumb' thing.
I was a guitarist for 20 years before I picked up a set of sticks.
It is a harder instrument to play well and requires more discipline.

Also, if the drummer sucks then the band sucks, no doubt about it.

That bit round the 8 minute mark is ridiculous!  How do you even get ONE hand working like that, let alone both, plus your feet doing different things too? I once sat and just concentrated on Billy Cobham at a gig and couldn’t even work out how he held down the basic rhythm count, let alone all the fills and other stuff he was layering on top. Utter respect for guys that can do this stuff.
