At the ripe old age of 44  I have finally come out to my family and friends as stupid. It has been the scariest thing I have ever done what with the old fashioned and religious outlook some of my family have. I have decided in these rather scary times that it’s my time to be free of the shackles of secrecy and I just want to shout it from the roof tops! So far I have been met with kindness and support from those close to me, I should have done this a long time ago and wish I had the chance to tell my father before he died but I just didn’t have the confidence to do so. I know this will not really mean much to any of you but I just want the world to know, That is all, thank you.

Thank you so much for all your kind words, I know it’s annoying to some this whole pride thing and making a fuss about sexuality so for that I apologise but it really is a weight off of my mind and being someone that has mental health issues that is a big thing so please allow me this one time to shout it out, thank you.

Seems to me that you're not "making a fuss about sexuality" at all (although you're right in that I know a few gay folk who can't stand the whole pride thing).

The headline, and all the justification you need for talking about it, is that is a huge life event for you, and this isn't just a guitar forum. It's a support group as much as anything else, and for that reason...you don't need to make excuses or ask for allowances when talking about it.

EDIT: And, might I add, I feel kind of honoured that you'd feel comfortable talking about it on here.
