Please recommend a good amp in a box pedal for direct recording

I’m looking at recording some songs in the house , and I’m looking at options on how best to do this .
Is there a decent and good value pedal that can emulate decent overdriven sounds with some kind of cab sim that I could use to plug straight into a digital recorder instead of micing up ??

    Joyo American Sound.

I guess the others in that series would also be good, but I've not used them.

+1, there are some demo's on YT somewhere of one being used that way.

I’ve been looking at the Orange Getaway Driver for this.

For analogue, I'd recommend the (long discontinued) Award-Session Sessionmaster JD10 (mk1) which has been my 'swiss army knife' pedal for many years.

In terms of more modern digital pedals, I was quite impressed by this Hotone Binary Amp for just over £100...

What’s your budget?  What sound are you after, what amp do you have now, and what recorder are you using?

+ another 1. I use the Joyo AC sound which is a Vox in a box. Incredible o/d and distortion tones. And it does sound like a Vox.

Not sure on budget. Recorder will either be a korg d4 (if I can get it working ) or a tascam dp006.
I’m looking to get jcm800ish sounds out of it

Don't those 2 recorders have built in emulation and effects?
Sansamp or AMT preamps are good.

+1 on the Joyo American Sound.
Ive been using one in the home studio since they came out. Its a bargain.   Even though I have a raft of great valve amps in the studio I often use the Joyo into a compressor and into the multitrack .   With the higher gain settings and a good compressor I am sure you will get some really good distortion tones.
This track was done entirely with etc Joyo - you might hate the track but get the idea on the guitar
    tones.

I think Joyo do a Marshall one as well don't they? I'm guessing the Fender based one is not really going to hit the spot if you're after JCM800 ish sounds out of it
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

One of the various mentioned Joyo pedals as your preamp and then a Nux Solid Studio (basically a Strymon Iridium for a reduced price) to act as your power amp and cab. Both all in should set you back less than £200 even brand new.

Using the d4 you'll need a amp simulator and a cab simulator as there's no way of using IR's in the recorder. Cheapest way of doing this would be one of the mooer micro preamp pedals £68 on Amazon, gets better the more money you throw at it, HX Stomp or a load box + cab sim and use your real amp
