For new gear I’m guessing that short term we could see a price war as retailers are desperate for cash and will sell off stock. Longer term we’ll no doubt see some retailers go to the wall which will reduce competition and, in theory, prices will go up.

Used gear?  I expect that there will be people out there getting absolutely desperate (pro musicians in particular) so some nice instruments may come on to the market.
