I’m getting somewhere with this cover ... I think ... taking about 30 - 40 takes for each 2 bars of lead work though. It’s killing me!  The rhythm is nearly as bad.

You could just layer loads of pitch shifted vocals then auto tune the fuck out of it like most modern metal bands these days

Want LOL and Wis that ... it may well come to it and I'll sound like 311!  I have reached out to a few singists I know ... see if anyone fancies lowering themselves to my level for a bit.  Otherwise LittleAlterBoy will be getting a f***ing work out!

I have outsourced!  So many people having a go at vocals, and if all else fails I have employed Mike Stomp and done a faux Babymetal version … I think I've gone a bit funny ...

Have you tried contacting Dragonforce? 

I'm not a fan but am loving their YouTube channel during lockdown. From the videos this far there's a chance they might help you out!

for the cover challenge you have to cover the song set out in the first post... in this case we have two choices.

genie in a bottle or ain’t no sunshine...

get the band to bang out a version of one of those and it can be entered...

OK, got it. Any rules against finding a backing track and using that? I pretty much exclusively play live so have never looked into creating a track from scratch.
