    I’ve not used this guy personally but he worked at Mansons for many years and I’ve heard good reports….

    @TTBZ yes, John at Noiseworks Coventry is still excellent. Check opening times though before travel!
    Coventry is a good way away from Merseyside and the Wirral. I've heard somebody mention KGB in Birkenhead on here though.
    I've taken guitars to KGB, they're good folk who know what they're doing. Pete and Carl at Curyl's music are top blokes too, Pete has set up my Crafter archtop and Carl is very friendly and knowledgable.

    Jamie at Apollo music fixed up the Epiphone Casino I am selling here, replacing the pick up switch and jack using quality parts and did it within the hour for me.

    Hi Folks,

    Looking to get the pots and wiring loom fettled on a Gretsch Double Anniversary at some point as brushed bridge pickup drops out occasionally and pots can sound a bit scratchy...

    I'm not confident of pulling out and reinstalling this on a hollowbody and especially one this nice so would welcome recommendations for techs with good rep for this around either Hampshire , Bristol,  or,  at a push,  London.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,

    If you end up going the Bristol route, Phil at Bristol Guitar Tech is excellent https://bristolguitartech.com/ In case you’re using public transport, it’s worth mentioning he’s quite a way out of the city centre

    Mick, at Rock’n’Roll Doctor  https://rocknrolldoctor.co.uk/ is likewise excellent.

    I’ve taken guitars to them both, and you wouldn’t go wrong with either.

    Any recommendations for Belfast? My Strat could use a fret dress..
    @strtdv ; I've just seen your post from months ago, but if you're still looking, Leif at the RNR Workshop is excellent and a lovely guy. I've been using him for years and his work has been unfailingly great. https://rocknrollworkshop.wordpress.com/

  • Jack’s Guitar Services should be an easy recommend for Manchester. I had one tech cr*p the wiring on a Vintera Tele Custom. Another tech based in a major UK chain then had it for weeks, sort of fixed it but it cr*pped out again. I took it to Jack’s and it’s been perfect ever since, and I’m sure he knocked money off because I cracked up a bit on the phone as my cousin had died, although it went unsaid. It was quick too. Don’t try to rip him off with sob stories, obviously.

    I've seen Dave Robinson mentioned here for the North East, does he have any web presence at all? Or even a phone number?

    @stufisher - thanks!

    The yard is nothing but a fence, the sun just hurts my eyes...
