Yamaha TRBX 504 vs Sire V7

I have narrowed my bass search down to these two basses. Can't seem to make up my mind on which one to get. The Sire has more of a classic look whereas the Yamaha looks more modern. I love the look of both. I have also listened to several demos of both on YouTube. I'm leaning towards the Yamaha.

Has anybody tried both?

IMO, both products are well matched on build quality. The "traditional" form factor of the Sire would make it easier to upgrade the pickups, if that should ever become necessary. Resale should only be a consideration if you have plans to buy something considerably more expensive in the long term future.

The decision probably comes down to neck profiles. The only worthwhile test would be to get your hands on examples of each design.
