I have a FBJ that was bought new from PMT Birmingham in July 2016. Fender changed their warranty period in 2017 but do amps bought before this date come with a longer (5 year) warranty?

I would have thought whatever the warranty period when you bought it will apply, that's when your contract with the seller was made. 

Im not a legal expert but sure someone like @fretmeister would have an opinion.
