Think this works like a VG8/VG88 - ie it processes the actual guitar note rather than identifying pitch and generating a new sound. This will mean no lag. Either way, don't care. Want. NOW.
Yes but because tech has moved on quite a bit since the VG8 you don't need a hex pickup.
The Super-ego works much the same, and the HOG.

There's great scope with this pedal for long, ambient style pads. Combine this with a Superego and/or a Freeze pedal, a volume pedal, a long reverb and a cheeky bit of delay and you've got one hell of a palette to choose from. I'm excited by it.

    Brilliant pedal.
I would wait for them to turn up used though.
Most people will buy it and realise their chordal knowledge isn't good enough to be able to make it sound like a proper organ and then end up selling them on.
It is always the way with these sorts of pedals.

This is one of the best sounding though, based on the video- it is a bit pitchy in places.

    Fair point.

If I got one I like to think it'd make me work harder to sound and play convincingly. Big ask for me though.

    Brilliant idea for a pedal.

  • Wonder how it is with bass? Doom and goth bands could use that!

Looks great.  One thing it is missing is it a speed control for the modulation like a leslie fast / slow.

Next I want a Rhodes pedal god dammit!

Is that not what the 'Mod' control does?

Yes but with a footswitch to increase/decrease like a leslie pedal.  I know I'm just being greedy, but I used to play a Nord Electro in a band and it was great having it speeding up and slowing down on a footswitch.

    I want it.

But if it's $300 over the pond then we'll get shafted for £300 over here.

You can check out the official B9 Manual here, it has the tech spec there in case anyone wants to start planning how this will slot into their pedalboard setup. :)

Sounds brilliant.  Should be in a mahoosive impractical enclosure with a weird unit specific power supply though

    I'd quite like one for £159 :)

I wonder if it would work with an electro-acoustic ?

Yep., want one. I'm wondering how it detects individual strings, then again, the Tc polytune does that. Very clever.

Really want this but doubt I'd use it enough to justify the price
