NBD: Aria Hiflyer Mosrite Bass

I'm sure there's probably an overlap of folks from here and BC, but thought I'd post here as well. Picked this up yesterday. Took a chance and bought online. I wanted a short scale and something without P or J pickups. It needs some tlc , some new volume and tone knobs, wiring needs fixing at jack input and possibly a bridge cover if I can find one. If anyone knows of good places to source them other than ebay and reverb, please let me know

That's very cool. Just the sort of thing I could use with my punk band .

I wouldn't change the knobs unless you can get exact replacements - they're part of the character of it.

If I can get exact replacements I will. The volume knob is cracked.

Epiphone put those same knobs on their guitars and basses in 70’s, shouldn’t be too difficult to find exact copies. Fabulous bass.

I'd have a go at restoring that cracked knob skirt with some filler.

I'm sure if you hunt around you'll find a more reasonably priced vol control. Bridge cover will be hard to find but you might be able to work with a 51 P bass bridge or pickup cover possibly.

Had a good crack off it earlier. Sounds great. Almost like a Ric on the bridge with some drive. Clankity clank!
