I was going to say "ahhh, Rics are just a poor man's....." but they're not! Waiting for a pic of a Ric Cheyenne bass. They don't get the love? The guitars look so good. Is it true the necks can be a bit too slim/thin?

OK, here we have a Tanglewood TW61, retrofitted with genuine Hi Gains, bridge & tuners & Allparts tailpiece.
The guy that I bought it from was named Nick, hence the cheeky TRC...

Rickenbacker 'Stealth Edition'

They did a bass with similar small dots and also red, white and blue versions all of which came with black tailpieces, scratchplates, tuners and truss rod covers.

I've never had the slightest wish to own a Rickenbacker, but crikey there are some cool looking things in this thread - especially the basses, and the two guitars posted by @GavRichList.

Always had a soft spot for Rics, and used to own one of these:

But beautiful though it was, it was neither flesh nor fowl, so I sold it for a pittance. Now I'm just down to two, and the only good photo I've got of them both also features a few other old things, but never mind.

I've had the 12 for nearly 30 years now, but I think the time has come to move it on - the strings aren't getting any further apart, and my fingers aren't getting any thinner, and it's basically a pain to play. And maybe having 3 electric 12-strings is too many?

Had a Rickenbacker for 28 years but sold it as it was spending years at a time in its case. Not a great pic but not many white ones about. The only thing left in that pic is the strat.
