For anyone that might be interested, there are 2 models above the 56. We go up to an 86. Astonishing guitars but you need to live in Japan and have a cool £10k spare.

TBH I am still stunned by the pricing on these. I was looking at a Collings SJ ( roughly the  same medium jumbo size ) and though nice, and minus the obvious extra bling of these guitars / engelmann top etc, the price being asked makes these look like a steal. I can't wait to get a mic in front of it.

Have you got an ETA on yours yet ?

Something is coming tomorrow but I don't know if it's the guitar, the soundbar or both! 

Just set up the soundbar and sub woofer. Pretty good, even if you just use it as a bluetooth speaker system. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the guitar.

Honestly not 100% sure. I think most of it will be the master builder stuff, Brazilian rosewood, pretty bits.

I have been lucky enough to see some of the Yamaha custom work  first hand in Japan, as you will no doubt know @rossyamaha , it is at a whole other level in terms of bling and options. They will, without doubt, have a great stash of woods at hand too.

I managed to wangle two of the musicast 20 speakers in place of the free soundbar so very happy. Sounded like there are not many left. Pics to follow.

It's here! What a stunner. The binding is incredible. I don't know where to start, the build quality is something else really. I'll try and post some pictures when I work out how.
You just touch it and the whole thing resonates.

@Whitecat, agree re. behind the scenes stuff from Yamaha. It's not a workshop video or indeed about acoustics, but there was a brief video with Paul Hindmarsh a few weeks ago about Innovation Road, and there's supposed to be a part 2 coming where he has a root through the archives there.
