I've got a '72 Italian (JEN) Cry-baby wah. Love the "liquid" sweep on this one, particularly with single coils. Not tried anything modern that gets even close.
However, the original pot has gone from scratchy and annoying, but working ok for a while after a clean, to the simply unusable now. I've used Deoxit I don't know how many times and more recently Fader lube, which was better), but it's effectively now got a dead spot right in the middle of the sweep, so I suspect that track is disintegrating.
So time to put a new pot in it. Read about the particular taper of the ICAR pots in these old Wahs and the importance to their sound / sweep.
Closest I can find is here Anyone got any experience / comments about these replacement's?

They sometimes carry old Jen Wahs (seen a few in there) and he can advise.
+1 for this seller - item didn't take long coming from the US - the 100k icar pot revived my old Italian Jen super crybaby. Think he goes by the name 'Steam Whipple' on bookface
Many thanks for the advice chaps.
The pot in Hotrox does look the same as Mr Whipple's but two recommendations for the American means i'll probably go there to be safe.
