Amazing. Do you know if they send these commission photos to everyone who orders new?

the headstock inlay is quite intricate/delicate, any idea if it’s hand made or are they using laser cutting there? It’s such a tight fit on mine and hard to tell.

Yes they do, for the custom builds (not Pioneer or Americana)

They didn't suggest it this time
tbh I think a less plain grained wood will better match the Koa

Also I am wary of adding Braz to a guitar when it's not materially affecting the sound - because of CITES

In my experience, the Avalon guys were great at coming up with suggestions and alternatives they thought might enhance a custom guitar during the build.

Getting close now, they have asked what strings to fit

I assume just gluing on the bridge, putting the machine heads in, and then a setup for the saddle and nut
