I bought a great book on Allan Holdsworth's chord voicings yesterday, it also includes some warmup stretch exercises and a bit of theory info:

    Thanks for the heads up. I got it. An interesting insight into his approach.

    I fear I'll never get be able to play the close voicings on guitar having average sized hands. It will be interesting to explore the approach as a compositional tool on keyboards though.

    It's not a competition.
