So now I can very easily make amp front panels ...

... also cuts up to 15mm plywood and 12mm actrylic so I can make guitar routing templates, logos, cabinet faceplates, the possibilities are (almost) endless.

Anyone on here need any laser cutting, drop me a message I'll see what I can do :)

Ooh interesting. I assume it can cut or engrave/surface burn depending on the settings? You could do great scratchplate graphics.
    Karma......

Awesome stuff.   I may need some plastic logo discs soon as I just used my last ones from an order I did over 10 years ago

    Fabulous stuff :)

If you were to take files for cutting, what format do they need to be in, out of interest?

    Cheers,

    Adam

    Or bitmaps presumably

not sure if the tech has moved on, but it used to be that laser cutting only work on really thin pearl.  On something of inlay thickness  the light gets refracted inside before it gets through the material...it quickly turns to dust.

Even Abalam (laminated abalone sheet)was too thick at 1.3mm... I  wasted a sheet of it finding out about this issue

I did have some really thin abalone veneer (0.3 mm) ones cut once.   They were just glued under lacquer  rather than attempting to inlay.
