    Such a shame.

He’s my favourite guitarist. His performance of Jumping at Shadows at the Boston Tea Party is my favourite bit of guitar playing bar none.

My Mrs and I had Need Your Love So Bad for our first dance at our wedding.

    Sad loss.

    RIP Peter.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Was also lucky enough to see him with The Splinter Group and it was a privilege to hear the amazing sounds he produced. RIP Peter.

Sad news, influenced loads of people and had plenty of tributes (e.g. the Gary Moore "Blues for Greeny" LP)- time to listen to the Boston Tea Party stuff again...

One of the best soloists ion any instrument from this country ever.

And while he was a great player, add to the list of achievements a great songwriter too.

This man truly paved the way for the development of rock guitar in the UK.

Peter Green was THE man. Best touch, best tone, best feel, best voice, best tunes.

    RIP.

I was very late in discovering the trailblazing early days of his work in Fleetwood Mac and the Bluesbreakers, but his playing and tone immediately hit me like a tonne of bricks. I would recommend the tracks "The Supernatural" and "Man of the World" for two contrasting viewings into the wide spectrum of his genius. His tone made B.B. King sweat, and it made me want a Les Paul as well as countless others who probably also tried to recreate the famous out-of-phase tone of his 1959 Les Paul. As a man, he went through tragedy after tragedy and I found it very deserving that a tribute concert was held in his honour just a few months ago. He will be missed and his influence will be felt for a long time.

Also definitely this. Found it in a tribute thread on Reddit just now. Incredible.

    Guys PLEASE.

This is the third thread I’ve now moved to Tributes.

Please look and check that a topic hasn’t been posted before - and please post in the correct sub forum.
If this sub forum came up in the 'new posts' list then it would be a lot easier to do so!
I checked before I posted, so maybe don't blame us if the forum software has flaws, eh?

    It’s not a software flaw.
It means you’ve not got that sub forum selected to appear in new posts.

Maybe not blame us if you don’t have the right settings, eh?

Sounds like a good idea but can't figure how or find any instructions.  Can you point the way please?

Really sad news. He was the best - I was listening to his amazing live version of The Stumble with John Mayall recently - it's astonishing. His playing on the the live Boston Tea Party Fleetwood Mac album is brilliant too - powerful, fluid and full of emotion. R.I.P.

A true great, lovely songs, even better tone and yet better delicate notes. Sad to say, but heaven has pretty good band formed this year, if you add Steve Priest and Neil Peart.
