WITHDRAWN for now due to sale of its sister guitar.
Price corrected for info after discussion with respected dealer.

For sale £4,995 £4,500 cash, trade ideas included below.

There comes a time when you've got to admit to yourself that whilst a certain guitar is gorgeous, it's way more than you need and it doesn't really suit what your playing style has become.

I bought this new from Coda in 2014. It's got an ebony board, none of the rosewood bollo that was floating around at the time.

What else can I say?

Oh, the price. Yeah. Sorry they're not cheap. I want £4,995 for it.
No way am I shipping this but I'm prepared to work with you on a socially distanced meet up or collection. I'm based in London.

I'm not interested in offers unless you can show me evidence of why you think the market is selling at your offer price.
Right now I'm not having a life crisis so I don't need to fire sale it.

I might be interested in part ex with a mint condition Tom Anderson Drop Top with the two bolt neck joint, or perhaps a very nice journey man or closet classic Fender CS Tele.

No dragged through a bush relics please, I've got enough of those already especiallly the one that stares back at me in the mirror every morning.

Enough of my waffle here's the pics (more in the album, some selected ones in the thread).

Yep. I love this guitar, it's a work of art but I've come to realise that if you truly love them you have to be prepared to let them go haha

Pretty, pretty, pretty. Great for chord stretches with that 23.5" scale length.

Thank you! I suspect I'll bitterly regret selling this but I'm not doing it justice. It is time to let someone else enjoy it. For a small fee of course ;-)

Until I saw this ad, I had no idea that the Byrdland was a thinline (as considered by Gibson at the time - still a fair bit thicker than a 335).

    Gorgeous thing, good luck!

Just to give this beauty a bump, did you know that Gibson were sued over the use of the Byrdland name by a jazz club called 'Birdland'?

They didn't win the case because Gibson explained that the name was a mix of the names of the two guitarists that drove the project, Billy Byrd and Hank Garland.

    Play authentic? Pah. :)

Feline night attire to be sure.  Sad that it involves organ donation as part of the acquisition process...

Possibly the most desirable guitar I’ve seen on the forum. I’m nowhere near London though and not likely to be in the current circumstances. Besides I’d be scared to take it out f the house.

I must admit that I would also be scared to throw it around at a gig Ted Nugent style!
