Thanks @SteveF - not 100% convinced on the scratchplate shape but it'll do for now.

I think it looks fine.  If I was going to change it, I would follow the top line of the guitar further down as you have at the bottom.

That’s so cool. Loving the Rick style curve and binding! Keep the great work coming Matt.

The only thing I’d change is the bridge... the l/h bridge means the pickup slant looks very odd against the lines of the rest of it.
Oh and I’d shove a mini humbucker in the neck position. :)
    Bloody lovely, though

Love it! What’s the scale length?

Thanks for the positive comments chaps! Its obviously not factory quality but at least it doesn't look too home made.

I agree with you on the bridge @impmann - its something that worked in my head but looks a little off in real life. I might just add an ashtray cover :D

    @Henrytwang - its a 25'' scale like a PRS. General specs are:

    Chambered 2 piece mahogany body
    Birch ply back
    Cherry neck
    walnut fingerboard

I think that the choice of a 25” scale is perfect for the guitar, l also like the chambered body and choice of materials. It’s my idea of a perfect guitar.

Looks awesome! Tie some nuts round the nut and you’d have a telebirdfeeder.

With just the bridge pickup isn't it more of an Esquirebird?

    (Looks, great, btw!)

The quality of the build looks great.

For me, the reverse tele ashtray bridge makes the pickup and bridge look like it's shifted too far towards the nut. I know it's not, it's just an optical illusion. I think it'd look better maybe with a chopped tele style bridge, like the GE Smith tele has, or the hardtail mastery bridge.

But it's a really cool looking guitar.

Thanks Matt (great name btw) I have a chopped tele bridge somewhere, I'll try it when I do the final tweaks and restring..

I quite like it. Different. I really like the binding!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
