Putting this up for sale again, as I can't really use it at volume and somebody should!

Wonderful amp, serviced at Marshall HQ last year. Serial number ends in H, but chassis sign off says ‘77. It is too loud for me now as I'm not in a band at the moment so I'm regretfully deciding to part with it While it was in for service the ohm selector was hardwired to 8 ohms as the old ones can be dangerous, and the older power socket was changed for a modern one. 

£1000 and collection in Canterbury, Kent. Keeping it!

This chap reckons this is effectively a bargain "Plexi" as the Super Bass circuit didn't change much 'till 1978:

Yep, I believe you can convert it to a plexi very easily, and this is a lovely sounding one. Amazing but I just can’t use it in my small flat really and it should be allowed to roar!

Does this version have the lay down transformer? Or is that exclusive to the late sixties ones

Yep, I've been super busy but I'll get some pics up this evening. 

I'm not sure about the lay down transformer, a quick google suggests that that finished in the late 60s but I don't know enough about it to be certain.

If this was @owenw old one, I can confirm that at full volume this thing can destroy planets. Sounds amazing in the process too.

Yep, I bought it from Owen. Even at low volumes you can tell it’s a good one but it needs to be enjoyed loud for sure!
