Vulfpeck got a bit infamous for uploading a silent album to spotify and asking their fans to leave it on all the time to game the system and made a bit of cash. Now that's been stopped from happening again they've got a new approach...

Auction for the Track 10 slot on the next album.

2.30 minutes only, no royalties from any sales of the album or that tune. It's basically buying an advertising slot.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik sold advertising between songs on "Flaunt it" about 30 years ago, so it's not a completely new idea.

As an aside - I could listen to Joe Dart play bass all day. I know he doesn't write his parts in Vulfpeck (Jack Stratton does that), but I love the way he plays.

It's a brilliant idea and Jack was always a wild one, it seems. 

Here is a photo of him way back when he was learning to play drums. In the background is his sister Lucy who was learning to play clarinet. 

Any guesses who the guy kneeling is, aside from being their teacher?

These guys’ live gig popped up on YouTube last week and I skimmed through their Thrill Of The Arts album. Really good stuff, I can see what the fuss is about with Cory Wong.
