I love this, what a great bass line and a great cover with a good solid P-Bass tone. Good stuff:

  • The Coral's "Dreaming of you" always reminds me of this bass line.

  • Been playing this in the band for a few years - always goes down well once the beer's flowing....

  • Great to hear this.
My band started playing this last year and it's one of my faves to play - always gets a great reaction.
Also shows that I never learnt it properly! Going to steal some of these lines me thinks. :)

Sorry, I took longer than a minute :P

He was perfect for about 98%, but added too many twiddle bits towards the end.

I meant those who think bass should only ever play root note parts.

Then we’re on the same page. This sort of bassline is (twiddly bits aside) utter perfection.

Fine playing and I enjoyed that.

That whole album has good parts for both bass and guitar and I love the track 'Grease', which I recently discovered Peter Frampton had played on.

They can play more than root notes - but stay below the 7th fret...  :P

  • There are seven bassists listed on the soundtrack album so gawd knows who played that originally.

And a bit of a stellar line up of other guitarists on the soundtrack including Tommy Tedesco and Lee Ritenour.
