How much would it be to repair this damage to a soundboard?

What's Hot
Anyone got any idea?

What is the damage? I can see a surface scratch, is there any structural damage?

  • It's a bit of a scratch, I wouldn't worry about it, looks purely cosmetic.

It is  possible to get a dent to swell up a bit by  soaking with hot water, but you would need to get the sound board flat again buy sanding it . You could use a filler and paint the guitar , personally I would live with it.

A recent repair guy I spoke to in York said about 60-80quid for a similar size repair, and about 200 for a full top respray. Just to give you some ball park figures.   It can take a few weeks as they need to let the nitro build up in layers and it takes a while for it to fully harden between applying layers.

Personally, I wouldn't mess with the top at all for the sake of a scratch that size.
