Well I'm afraid that this is going to be much help but I've just finished setting this up for a mate

It'll be a 1984 as I was playing in a band with him when he bought it new.  Unfortunately, as far as I know, he has no intention of selling it and, if he did, I'm pretty sure that I'd buy it. I still have my Tokai Jazz Bass from about the same year, so they'd make a nice couple.
