The slow mid section of Dazed and Confused before the faster solo section kicks in. 

Live- Rosalie by Thin Lizzy- the bit where they reprise the twin guitar motif from Cowboy Song. “We need your helping hands...”

Whole Lotta Rosie- the call and response between Angus and the band playing off the riff

Sabbath- The Sign of the Southern Cross: you get a lovely atmospheric section before the solo proper. 

PiL- Don’t Ask Me- aptly enough where Lydon announces ‘middle eight!’. 

Bigmouth Strikes Again. Genius.

Rachmaninov G minor prelude. The gorgeous middle section starts at 1:20 but what makes it even more spectacular is how it’s sandwiched between the two Alla Marcia sections before and after. Fucking genius. And Kissin is one of the best pianists ever.

The middle bit in “Something in the air” by Thunderclap Newman spoils it for me.
