68, saxist and one of the founders of Kool and the Gang - back in 1964! One of those bands maybe you don't think about much but you've heard and grooved to a million times on the radio. No cause of death released as yet. RIP

Saw them live at Hammersmith in 84?  They were fab, extremely talented musicians.  They had a double LP “Best of ...” os some kind out the year before.  I’d known the later stuff which was fine, but their early stuff was really good.
