  • Just watched it and it looks an amazing bit of kit. Out of my price range and too much for what I need but for those who are after it, it looks ace.

No doubt they are exceptionally well engineered, but wow, that is a lot of money to have the luxury of high end switching. No doubt for the pros.

    my exact thoughts.
I got excited by the atom, briefly...
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I think the main issue, is that this is being released during a pandemic where musicians are skint, and not touring.

I really hope it does well! And it isn't Dan's fault at all, but I don't know that a lot of the market is there currently.

Hopefully it gives gig rig a cash injection! As I wonder if their sales are down

After viewing that video I would say it’s a massive enhancement on the G2. I would never have the use for one but I can see it being a god send to someone else. That’s a stratospheric price tag though that it really must have been sent by god ;)

Lovely kit, and honestly... yes it’s expensive but with that functionality mixed with the build quality of the G2, I’m excited.

Is it that expensive when there's countless fuzzface clones selling at well over £100 with a handful of cheap components  inside and sod all real r&d to produce them?

End of the day it's professional kit priced for professional musicians. I know a lot of us want it, but there are far less expensive options for people (like me) who don't need that level of sophistication and durability.

Just like no matter how you might fancy it, not everyone taking photos needs a Canon 1D-X mk3. There's a camera out there for everyone.

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

  • If you like to experiment with routing this would be a real time and hassle saver, but yeah, pro piece of kit with a price to match.
