I think a rug in a colour that compliments the blue sofa would be nice

I like it (but definitely airbrush out the lamp on the left).

And as your eyes are looking directly at the blank TV, there's a sort-of-undelivered punchline about what you're watching. If you could sort that - some sort of gag - it'd be great.

My girlfriend’s son is fifteen and seriously getting into music now, including Oasis. Last time he was here he was going through my vinyl, found Definitely Maybe and said “That’s what your living room reminds me of!” That put the idea in my head.
