Maybe not the right place for this but I know he was really poorly earlier this year, he hasn’t been on for a while and am hoping he is ok rather than fearing the worst?

    That's really sad to hear.

    I sold him a guitar a couple of years ago and what a lovely guy.  He was from the south-west but happened to be visiting in Surrey and so I met him and his wife at their hotel and he was real gentleman.

    I could see then that he had some health issues

    RIP Big Norm

    No worries @photek ;

    I didn’t know him that well, but a band I was in for a while knew him very well, and did a couple of decent size gigs with his band Kiss This in Exeter. He was a nice guy, always friendly and up for a chat. He’d been playing locally (and beyond I think) for years and years and knew pretty much everyone. He also had an encyclopaedic knowledge of tunes having played nearly everything ever played by covers bands over the years. I know he’s sorely missed by those that knew him well.

    Yep, he knew and liked his PRS guitars and it was an EGII that I sold to him. Good player, too, and I was saddened to read this :(

  • Sad news, another from the MR forum days.  Did he have something to do with the "Lemonrock" websites too?

    Aw what? He sold me my PRS CE24 which I play every day. When it got broken in the post and they wouldn't pay out he sent me his own money to go towards repairs.

    Man this is sad. A few Fretboarders have passed now. Is it wrong of me to think a sticky would be befitting in this section in their honour?

    RIP Bignorm.
