Just heard Bobby Ball has succumed to the current Corona 19 at age 76.

I remember when Cannon and Ball burst onto the scene, it was fresh and funny. They seemed a likeable pair and It's sad that Bobby has gone RIP.

Sad news. As a kid of the 70s I loved Saturday TV and Cannon & Ball were one of those shows that we always had on. Bobby was a funny guy, I still laugh thinking about him playing the guitar with no strings.

I also really enjoyed seeing him appear in that sitcom 'Not going out' in more recent times.

    RIP Bobby

He was brilliant in that.  Sad to hear of his passing,  C&B were a big part of my childhood.

Went to see them as a child in Blackpool in the late 70's. Support was from a new comedian called Lenny Henry. Rock on Tommy!

Quite sad to hear this.  Cannon & Ball - like Little & Large - were never really all that funny but they were likeable, I did enjoy their TV shows.

They were of their times. They all had way better viewing figures that anyone gets these days, but humour has got more sophisticated over time.

Just heard a clip on 5 Live, of Bobby Ball speaking last April.  They wanted to record a new version of their song Together We’ll Be OK to raise money for the NHS.  Sad that six months later this fucking virus has brought him down.

Exactly this, they were descendants of the traditional vaudeville era.

I'm not sure I ever saw Cannon and Ball. I roughly knew who they were but I used to watch Not Going Out ( either my tastes became more sophisticated or it wasn't as naff then as it is now) and Bobby brought a surprising amount of edge to a mainstream sitcom.
    RIP.

    This. RIP.
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
