I am weighing up what to do when somebody local finishes paying for a Höhner GT-3 that he agreed to buy in October. 

Alegree handwound pickups add more value to the Bernie than his Old Timer series.

No need. If anything, I should apologise to you.

The induhvidual mentioned in my Nov.29 post is paid on the last Thursday of each month. He should have been in a position to settle the balance on my Höhner last weekend. Instead, he stalled. 

I am behaving myself, not spending funds before they have actually arrived. One upshot of this is that I am messing you about.

If/when things develop, I shall PM you. If the Bernie has sold by then, it will be my hard luck.

my reaction was what what it would be normally due to a couple of folks who have just mucked about in the last week. normally i wouldnt have responded in such a way as anyone who has dealt with me previously will vouch

At least you're getting some interest.   My FS ad has been looked at 200 times but no-one is interested in a nearly new, near mint guitar and case at just over half new price. :-(
