Les Paul Jr build thread - parts / tips

Putting together a LP Jr SC from @GSPBASSES it's the quilted top one on his sale thread, should be a lot of fun to finish. 

I want to use the best quality parts I can, will go to @sixstringsupplies for the wiring & pots and @OilCityPickups for the P90 but not sure where to source the best bridge and machine heads from, can anyone advise? 

The headstock is drilled for Kluson tuners 8.8mm front 6.3mm back.

Kluson m33jp are perfect tuners.

As for bridges, it depends on budget and what you like

There's a few vintage style higher budget wraparounds
ABM, Faber and Rockinger.

I cant find the aluminium Rockinger, only the brass:

I really like the faber aged aluminium compensated.  It works very well on the juniors ive done.

Found the wrap around tailpiece, the below would work on a Jr? Do you keep. Machine heads in stock, I can't see how to find them on the website?

Do I have to buy the Bridge and the Studs separately? I assumed the studs would come with the Faber Bridge?

Why can't I find Faber insert posts which measure 11mm? The '59 spec measure 13mm according to their website. I know I'll ruin the top if I try to drill the holes out another 2mm.

I don't have anything yet for the bridge, posts or inserts so can buy whatever. I just need an 11mm insert to fit Graham's pre-drilled hole.

I think I can then buy the correct Faber (or other) posts to fit the inserts? They do metric or imperial.

...this is as far as I've got at the moment.  I have a lovely @OilCityPickups dogear P90 but nothing else yet.

That's brilliant, thanks Steve I'll DM you.

I mixed up some stain for the top, a couple of yellow and brown stain mixes. Going for that subtle Autumn burst. The nice top helps!
