Martin D-X2E 12 String: anyone tried one?

What's Hot
Quite fancy one of these and it's not in the local music shop. Anyone played or own one?

Cheers.

12 string guitars need to be reasonable well made . Your pushing things a bit, cheep ones , and often second hand ones look as if the the strain is becoming a bit too much effort . Martin make good strong guitars and  are a safe bet. This one is a entry level guitar , not solid wood ,but not bad looking . A bit on the heavy side ,lacking the big Martin sound and the fisherman electrics are not the best . However , a good ,well made guitar  ,but if you have high expectations sound wise , I would try to play one first.

  • Yeah, sound advice. Only one guitar shop within a few hours of me and not keen on either of their 12 strings. Maybe should be patient with this to try one when on travels again or get a cheaper / lower expectation one used. Thanks.
