Had this FS on ebay last week as it felt too soon to flip it back on here . Soon gave up as I had so many stupid bids and even more stupid questions that I pulled the ad.

I bought it to satisfy my Malcolm Young yearnings but tbh the pickups sound fairly harsh with low gain - they are a lot sweeter with more gain or surprisingly totally clean . In fact the clean sound is lovely, very bell like.

To complete the Malcolm look I removed the black pickguard so I can put it back on or just pop it in a Jiffy bag.

My photos are awful but it’s in fantastic condition , great action too - just not the sound I was expecting.

Then they were out of stock everywhere, so I never got one.

Would a pickup swap help get it sorted?

That looks like all sorts of fun, I really like those Blacktop Filters. Maybe you just need to find the right amp to unlock them?

I did consider that Tony but I’m such a flipper that I try not to swap things out on guitars as a month later when I sell it to buy something else I never get my money back. This has the new Blacktop Broadtrons and part of me thought about sticking some Blacktop Filtertrons in it as they are easily available as some people stick more expensive versions in where I actually really like the blacktop Filtertrons

Sorry ,I couldn’t sleep and put it on there at about 6.30 this morning and it sold within an hour using the £1 offer.
