Decided to sell off most of my live gear to focus on writing and recording. Looking to buy a decent spec iMac so the first thing on the block is this amp. Sweet and loud (can’t really be 5w, surely?).

Good nick, pics in the morning when it’s light!

£195 plus delivery (or collected from Thornbury, just outside Bristol).

  • Hey, is it a MK1 or 2?

    I think it’s a Mk I - doesn’t have chicken head knobs.

  • Mk1 is the version with only volume for the clean channel (No tone control). Mk2 added the tone control for clean. Mk3 has chicken head knobs and both channels re-voiced.

    Thanks @kennedydream1980 - it’s a mk2 then (tone control on clean channel)

I’m a tad confused! If you look at the photos of my amp, it definitely has a single tone control on the clean channel but it doesn’t have chicken head knobs. All the reviews of the MkI I can find comment on the lack of a tone control but all the reviews of the MkII show chicken head knobs! What have a got? Was there a Mk1.5?

*OFFICIALLY* there has only ever been a Mk1 or Mk2 version (the latest version that is out now - that has Mk2 written on it and has chicken head knobs... its actually a very different animal).

There have been a few revisions/iterations of the HT-5 Mk1 - the early versions, the non-reverb versions etc.

That is an HT-5 Mk1 - I can tell you that categorically
