To be fair, Vintages stuff for the price point is great quality, I used to own an acoustic Bass and it was fantastic to play and sounded ace.
I now have a Giltrap 12 string signature, and again for the price point nothing comes close.

He has used Vintage for a while, on one of the Princes Trust concerts he is using a Lemon Drop IIRC.

Vintage do seem to have been upping their game recently. Even my old V100 from about 2009 was a great guitar (my dad uses it now).

I really like the look of this new Lemon Drop.

This Junior is cool too. They even do it in blue!

Their prices are creeping upward correspondingly...

I've been eyeing that Junior too @Bucket.The blue one does look nice.

I've got a Lemon Drop and it's a great guitar.

I hope so, I've never played one which didn't look and sound utterly vile, despite all the hype.

Interesting...When i saw Ultravox supporting Simple Minds just before Christmas, Midge Ure had an impressive selection of guitars (which sounded great, too). From where i sat, i thought they were Gibsons, but I guess they might have been Vintage, then...?

Funny that in that interview Midge goes on about the importance of getting the trem to look right on the guitar given that he used to think nothing of slapping a Kahler on a big Yamaha Jazzer..

The best selling single to make number 2 IIRC. He was also briefly in Thin LIzzy...

nd then of course there's Band Aid and this little low-key benefit show...

As an aside we (myself, @MattG, and the rest of the family ) saw Midge on one of his "intimate moments" solo acoustic tours a few years back.

There's something a little surreal about seeing someone who you last saw playing Wembley Stadium taking the stage at Braintree Institute (which is pretty much a village hall) in front of a couple of hundred people. Absolutely brilliant night though, one bloke, one acoustic guitar, one spine chillingly awesome rendition of Vienna  - had to be seen to be believed!
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...

When I saw him do Vienna, he quite rightly received a round of applause after every chorus.

Now wrong with a Vintage V100.

I've used my V100 Paradise (AFD Clone) at every gig for over two years now. Other than replacing a dodgy tuner it's been a wonderful.

ON the QC front i recently compared it back to back with an idential model that was brand new. I have to say mine was better finished in all respects, and also weighed a fair bit more.
