I have just messed around with the preamp valves to eliminate a very annoying valve rattle that seems to have been resolved, so it sounds better right now than it has done for about a year!

HEAR THIS AMP! Demo recording!

Strat with Mojo69 pickups > Pro Jr > E609 > interface. Amp is set with both knobs halfway, the guitar vol starts on about 8 then is increased to demonstrate cleans and distortion.

I really rate the P10R-F in these. Set both amp controls at halfway and my strat can go from clean to crunchy, tweedy rawness with ease. Very good amp.

Considering the upgraded speaker I'd be after £280 before postage, which would probably cost £20-30 for an insured courier service.

I'll try and get an audio clip posted later.

How would you describe the tone compared to a blues junior?

never had a blues jr but there have been a lot of people drawing that comparison on here and other sites over the years. probably worth a google!

very different, if you like one you'll dislike the other and vice versa.

I love the tweed pro jrs with alnicos, great sounding rock amp - has one volume where it sounds good - but DAMN does it sound good there.

In the before times I've done functions, rock gigs and blues/rockabilly with mine, great little amp.
