Current limiter for testing valve amp query.

What's Hot
Greetings folks,
2nd request for advice from me today. Id like to put together one of those incandescent lightbulb current limiters before switching on my JTM amp build for the first time.
However, its a bit awkward given the lack of filament bulbs these days.
Is it sensible to use a halogen bulb instead?
Cheers,
Adam

A halogen bulb is a filament bulb. As long as it's high enough power rated that it will allow a decent amount of current through before it lights up too brightly - minimum 60W probably, although 100 is better - it will work.

You can still buy incandescent, just Google ‘rough service lightbulb’

Thank you both for your advice - I shall get a-googling :)

Once again, the willingness of experts to share their knowledge openly is fantastic - thank you.
